On November 14, 2013 we got our first rats.

We originally wanted to get the rats for Christmas, but we saw this add on kijiji and decided we could get them a little earlier.

There were two boys, Charlie and Murphy, and two girls, Lola and Amy. We were told they were about 6 months old.

Unfortunately, Charlie passed away on January 3rd. Rest in peace, Charlie, I'll never forget you. He used to sit on my mom's shoulder and he sure liked treats. He was stubborn and never learned any tricks, he used the not-listen-look-really-really-cute-so-my-human's-heart-will melt technique. At the end of each training session he woulds sill get his treat.

A week later we went to the pet store and picked out Ellie's Lucky Galaxy, aka Ellie. She was only with us for only a week, as she wasn't eating well.

We are going to pick up a baby rat from a litter we found on kijiji. We think we are going to name her Koda.
